UPDATE: Violet Anne Affleck is here!
UPDATE: A source close to Jennifer tells us that the baby has been named Violet Anne Affleck. Both Violet and Anne are family names.
UPDATE AGAIN! People.com has now posted the news, as Ben and Jen’s reps have finally confirmed the birth. Apparently, it just took place at 3:26 pm PST / 6:26 EST - not early this morning as previously reported - no wonder we didn’t have any confirmation! Apparently Jen was admitted to the Los Angeles hospital around 9pm last night, but labored most of the day today. "Mother, father and baby are doing great," reps Ken Sunshine and Nicole King said in a statement. No further details were released. I want to hear a weight for this kid! I bet she was a big girl.
Baby Violet was born early this morning at an LA hospital, according to published reports. Jennifer was apparently induced last night, although she was not due until December 8th. Ben is said to have been by her side the entire time.
According to Us Weekly, last night, when asked by Us when Garner would be giving birth, Garner’s Alias co-star Joel Grey said ”tonight.” When contacted by Us, a rep for Jennifer wouldn’t confirm nor deny news of the birth. A rep for Affleck could not be reached.
In Alias-related news, the show was cancelled last week by ABC. It will finish up this, its fifth, season in May after an eight week hiatus starting in January, giving Jen a much deserved maternity leave.

Talk about smoke screens - there was a lot of conflicting info, wasn’t there? So, was the baby born Nov 30th or Dec 1st and any word on weight and names?

I am not crazy about the name, but that is okay. They like it, and that is all that matters!!! I bet she is absolutely beautiful!!

I love the name Violet but I really don’t like Ann at all! I bet she is a very pretty baby!
