x17 photo agency theorizes Britney Spears' baby is a girl!  Here's why: a week after the baby was born, one of their photographers shot video of one of her bodyguards purchasing pink newborn girl clothing at Planet Blue Kids in Malibu, CA.  The bodyguard threatened to call the Malibu Police if he didn't turn over the tape so he did.  x17's theory is that they wouldn't be buying girls' clothing or trying to destroy evidence of it if Britney didn't have something to hide.

It also kind of makes sense considering that Britney hasn't released details of the baby's birth.  Also, if the baby's name isn't Sutton Pierce as Kevin Federline sort of indicated, the name one of our sources leaked to us, Jayden James, could be a girl's name.

Then again, x17 did sit on this for almost a month.  Why reveal it now?

Um wow...what's with the mystery? I can't wait to hear details though.

I smell rubbish. Why did it take x17 over ONE MONTH to come out and say this? Are they wanting more hits? It just doesn't make sense as to why they would wait SO long.

Also, Jamie Lynn confirmed that the newborn was boy as has her father. I doubt either of them would be involved in any type of scam such as this.

The baby is a boy.

Wouldn't that be fun if she did have a girl this whole time? I think it would be so funny. Regardless of the baby is a boy or girl, at least it is healthy and eventually we will all know. And honestly, I cant wait to see either way.

i was thinking the samething. but why would britney said that she a second boy when is a girl why would she lie to us???

Posted by: luis at Oct 22, 2006 3:34:42 PM

Didn't her sister confirm on her website that she had a nephew?

The whole boy / girl / name thing is really exciting...
Cant wait to hear the official name / gender!

Posted by: Sandra at Oct 22, 2006 4:03:37 PM

yawn...
could it get anymore ridiculous?
and is really anyone still interested in her offspring?

Posted by: sfl at Oct 22, 2006 4:20:36 PM

It could be possible - and nothing would surprise me - that she had twins. A girl named Jayden and a boy named Sutton Pierce. There's no way of knowing until Britney announces something. They're probably enjoying messing around with the press like this!

Posted by: Viv at Oct 22, 2006 4:32:53 PM

I smell another Tom Cruise baby conspiracy...oh lord when will it end?!

At this point does anyone really care? boy or girl, jayden or sutton?

I still say boy and his name is pierce.

Posted by: joy at Oct 22, 2006 4:58:40 PM

Well... I don't really care...

Posted by: Luciana at Oct 22, 2006 5:04:31 PM

Kevin's CD is coming out later this month isn't it?
The whole boy/girl name thing is probably just a way to drum up interest in that.
Regardless, I hope everyone is healthy and happy!

Posted by: Danloe at Oct 22, 2006 5:15:50 PM

I think if it does end up being a girl, what a brillant move. This is their lives and why not play with the people that pry into it.

Posted by: Jessica at Oct 22, 2006 5:57:33 PM

Brit's sister said she had a new nephew, she didn't say he was from Britney. Didn't their brother just have a son?

Posted by: gargoylegurl at Oct 22, 2006 6:26:45 PM

I personally think they're lying. I know Jamie-Lynn has confirmed that the baby is a boy, although no mention of a name.

Wasn't it rumored that Britney wanted a girl? If this baby was a girl, I think she would of confirmed it.

Posted by: -Lauren- at Oct 22, 2006 7:41:29 PM

well I guess they need to get as much publicity as possible, not like the CD is going to actually sell!

Posted by: joy at Oct 22, 2006 8:28:26 PM

People are obviously still interested in her kids since they keep replying to these posts talking about them. Why is everyone on Britney's case when she didn't say a word about this kid's birth. She only said it's a boy on her website after Preston was born. So I don't get how she is lying about anything? Sounds like X17 is full of it.

for god sake, Jayden "James".. ..James is a boys name.

Maybe Brit is taking an inspired cue from TomKat and realizing that parenting is not necessarily the public's business. She had all her first baby, first year mistakes plastered across the news and I wouldn't be surprised if the birth of a second is a new start for her and how she handles her family.

Posted by: Kori at Oct 22, 2006 9:57:14 PM

Does it really matter????????

Posted by: annabelle at Oct 22, 2006 11:14:51 PM

fnwekafa - have you heard of 'James King' the female model? That's right, it's a girls name too. Did you see Melissa Etheridges new baby girl is called 'Johnnie'? Typically a boy name.

Posted by: Heavenly_Hibiscus at Oct 22, 2006 11:38:23 PM

I personally wouldn't be surprised if she had a girl. When Britney FINALLY announced that she was pregnant again (even though we had known for awhile before that) she always seemed happier than she did with her first pregnancy. Should could have just had an easier time with this one than she did her first baby but I specifically said to my sister 'i bet she's having a girl, she seems happier than she did during and after she had the first baby and I know she has always wanted a daughter'. My sister laughed at me when Brit finally had the second one and it was said to be a boy. I lost a bet to her and I would love to get my money back if it does turn out it's a girl. But it's probably just wishful thinking on my part, I hate losing money and I hate being wrong :) Isn't there any way for people to get ahold of the birth certificate? Well best to them and their family regardless. All babies are great, male or female.

Posted by: Sandra at Oct 23, 2006 12:18:13 AM

It's not a conspiracy theory...I guarantee they make more money with a bigger story...so that's what it has got to be now. Baby making has become an industry to these people :S

As for her realizing about the publicity comment, I'll believe it when I see it. She's got the photoshoot in the works already and we didn't see SP right away either. Britney likes the publicity from what everyone has seen. But maybe it's true...and we'll see if the popular proverb is true: "absence makes the heart grow fonder!"

Posted by: srcstcbean at Oct 23, 2006 12:42:32 AM

There is the model/actress James King (who was born Jaime, changed it to James, and then back again I think?) so it's not impossible.

I think it's cool if they've been messing with us all this time, although it's probably just K-Feds album publicity

Posted by: Sarah at Oct 23, 2006 8:10:59 AM

fnwekafa: You know what else is a boy's name?
Johnnie, like Melissa Etheridge's daughter, and Owen, like Michelle Branch's daughter.
There are no longer genders attached to names.
And Jayden James is an official a name as Sutton Pierce.

Posted by: Raye at Oct 23, 2006 9:08:48 AM

CJ, just because the middle name is James doesn't mean it's a boy. It is possible for girls to have boy names, ie. Michael Michelle, James King, and Michelle Branch's daughter Owen, just to name a few.

Posted by: Lori at Oct 23, 2006 11:59:41 AM

I don't know why the are going to all this drama over this child just for a cd release? come on now!

and *FNW* james doesn't necessarily have to be a boys name as we all know celebs will name their babies anything these days! lol

Posted by: joy at Oct 23, 2006 12:51:53 PM

I have a niece that is named Jaymes so the name isn't totally strange for a girl. I think it probably is a girl and good for them for keeping it a secret. The smile on Brit's face in recent pic looks like she is smirking as if she knows something no one else does. Good for them!!!

Posted by: Deborah at Oct 23, 2006 1:01:35 PM

I completely agree that she can keep whatever she wants private and we shouldn't fault her...if that's what she's really doing, more power to her!

But if she does make an announcement right around KFed's CD release (vs. not doing one at all or doing it right when the baby is born) than I truly hope all those people who were actually going to buy the CD (all 5 of them!) reconsider and don't actually feed into this ploy - to use your kids like that is just lower than I would even expect of Britney.

Posted by: april at Oct 23, 2006 1:33:04 PM

i hope its a girl so that the family could be complete

Posted by: Edgar at Oct 23, 2006 6:39:59 PM

I think Britney is all about promoting her family and getting their name in the media. Her husband is an up-and-coming rap star and Britney herself hasn't been doing much work, so they are looking for some hype and money. Who cares if she had a boy or girl? Do we not have our OWN lives to worry about? Let her be. Bad mother and all.

Posted by: Amanda at Oct 24, 2006 12:06:56 PM

I personally don't really think it matters wether Britney had a boy or a girl! I just hope that her and her family are happy and enjoying their time alone with their new addition to the family (whatever the sex or name is)!
