Congrats to Marsha! As a twin mama myself, I have to respond to the part of the post that says 6 weeks early is "normal for multiples." About 50% of twins are early, meaning before 37 weeks. Coming 6 weeks early might be more common for multiples, but premature is premature and it shouldn't be trivialized. In addition I wish that more people were aware of the fact that some twins are born at term. Mine came at 40w3d. Lots of twin moms end up induced at 36 weeks because there has come to be this idea that twins never go to term anyway.

Congrats to Marcia and her husband. I'm sure the babies are just fine. People make too big a deal out of twins coming early nowadays. My sister and I were born 6 weeks early 25 years ago. While my sister weighed 3 pounds, I weighed 6 pounds. Neither of us had to stay in the hospital any longer than full term babies and we were never developmentally slow or behind the curve. I'm sure everything will be great.

Louise, I think you can choose the "look" of an egg donor the same way women choose specific qualities of a sperm donor...maybe they will have red hair!
