Christina Aguilera points out baby belly

Tags: Moms-to-be

While performing in Perth, Australia over the weekend, Christina Aguilera, 26, points out her burgeoning belly during a song. As we told you last month, the songstress is about 15 weeks along with her first child, due in early January.

She looks fantastic! Her belly seems so low compared to mine when I was around that far along. Then again, I was never as thin as her either, LOL

I don't know what it is about this picture, but it made me so happy! Christina is positively glowing. I wonder at what part of her show this was in.

Posted by: Devon at Jul 16, 2007 1:59:24 AM

Obviously she is not big enough for me to say boy or girl, but for some reason I always pictured her with a son, so my guess is she will have a boy. I had same feeling with britney, before she was even pregnant. Anyway looking forward to seeing her pregnant.

Posted by: gianna at Jul 16, 2007 2:09:01 AM

I was at the Perth concert and this was the first costume and first song. She was amazing and the whole show was energised. I have too admit as much as i would love her too be pregnant she was dancing through the whole thing and really giving it everything. Not something she should be doing if she was pregnant.

Posted by: Kirstie at Jul 16, 2007 5:27:06 AM

my money is on her having a girl.

either way I think her and the hubby are gonna make wonderful parents, and I'm sure Christina's mom (who I've seen on TV in interviews before) is uber-excited to be a grandmummy :D

Posted by: tara at Jul 16, 2007 7:38:44 AM

That was my first thought too, Bella--she looks so low! Then again, she's wearing high-cut pants and has them buckled up OVER the belly, and she's really, really, really tiny in person--so that's probably contributing to the belly looking lower.

Posted by: MissMissy at Jul 16, 2007 8:57:51 AM

Aw! She looks darling! I look a bit bigger than she is, we're due around the same time, I am 15 weeks along tomorrow!

Posted by: Kami at Jul 16, 2007 9:12:51 AM

Kirstie! Im sure she wouldn't be pointing to her stomach and playing games with her fans like that!

She could have consulted her doctor on that!

But I dont think she would lie!

I am so happy for Christina and her hubby!

I'm putting my money on a baby girl :-)

She looks FABULOUS! She is going to be so happy as a mom! I love this woman~

Posted by: Kelly at Jul 16, 2007 10:55:23 AM

she looks great! when i was 15 weeks - i was sure i was enormous - but looking back - i had barely any tummy either. of course - now i am a whale!

Posted by: meghan at Jul 16, 2007 11:23:48 AM

IS it safe for her to jump and dance around while in her earliest term of pregnancy???

Posted by: is that safe at Jul 16, 2007 11:26:17 AM

You know what's kind of funny..That every1 thought that Christina was the "Dirrty" of the blonde teenage sensations that came out [britney, jessica, etc] & she has turned out to be the most reserved, and well actually the best out of all of them!! :) I'm really happy 4 her, she deserves it!! :)

Posted by: BDR at Jul 16, 2007 11:33:29 AM

Awww, she looks so cute with her little belly! I wonder when she's going to formally announce her pregnancy? I'm so happy for her and Jordan! :)

Posted by: Angela at Jul 16, 2007 11:36:43 AM

To the person who commented that she shouldn't be dancing like she does if she is pregnant...that's totally untrue. My friend was 9 months along and kept up with the rest of us at the Tap-dancing show we did... Her Doctor said that's the best thing--to stay active, and it will make the birth much easier than if you were to sit around...

I think Christina looks amazing!!! (Pregnant, or not)

Posted by: Yeah at Jul 16, 2007 11:44:06 AM

My bump was higher at 15 weeks along. She looks absolutely amazing and I think she will be a great mother. I'm now 36 weeks and due in 27 days.

Posted by: tasher at Jul 16, 2007 11:57:37 AM

Congratulations Kami and also to Christina! I do hope the baby looks like her.

Posted by: Denise at Jul 16, 2007 11:59:42 AM

I am about the same size as her and I carried the same way, very low.

I think she looks great!

Posted by: kel at Jul 16, 2007 12:00:45 PM

Has Christina confirmed her pregnancy?

Sarah's note: Not yet, we're expecting an announcement after the close of her tour on August 3rd. We've confirmed the news with multiple sources, and these sources have never been wrong in all the times we've used them previously.

Posted by: Michelle at Jul 16, 2007 12:20:57 PM

I have no idea why I'm so excited over this picture, but that's SO cute!

I hope she hasn't suffered like Gwen did on tour though. She has mentioned many times that being pregnant while touring is NO FUN!

She looks amazing! Can't wait to see her with a little basketball tummy!

Posted by: Tracy at Jul 16, 2007 12:30:04 PM

She looks fantastic! Congrats to her and her husband!

Posted by: Monika at Jul 16, 2007 12:30:12 PM

Just me? She looks like Anna Nicole here.

Posted by: Steph at Jul 16, 2007 12:40:11 PM

She looks great. They did confrim the pregnancy on E! news about 2 weeks ago.

Sarah's note: Christina still has not. Everyone that has confirmed has through family and friends -- Christina and Jordan are not expected to make a statement until next month.

Posted by: Toni at Jul 16, 2007 12:42:26 PM

Christina looks fabulous, she'll make a fab Mommy!Congrats to Tasher hope you do great. Her bump does look a little low, but thats just the way she's built. Anyways, good luck you guys! LY x x x

Posted by: Jess at Jul 16, 2007 12:50:27 PM

I didn't even show until I was 6 months! Guess that's the advantage of being almost 6 feet tall. Looks like a pot belly now. She'll be cute when she's a couple more months along.

Posted by: Lori at Jul 16, 2007 12:53:40 PM

BDR- I just said the same thing to a friend as soon as I saw this picture. Christina looks so happy and adorably proud of that bump. I wish her a healthy and easy pregnancy. She deserves it!

Posted by: PSB at Jul 16, 2007 1:06:54 PM

Even if she herself hasn't confirmed it, it's totally obvious she's proud of that baby bump :] Maybe they aren't going to announce it until she's off the tour so they can really put their all into her pregnancy. Now saying she isn't now, but she may be waiting to have all the news be on her pregnancy and not on the tour :]

I hope she has a little girl, but so far, I think she's having a boy.

And it was 'Ain't No Other Man' she was performing at this time - at least to my rememberance from the show I was at in April it was :]

Posted by: Bobbi at Jul 16, 2007 1:41:18 PM

That is the first song which is "aint no other man". . her concert was AMAZING, Im soooo happy for her and I know she will be an awesome mother. wish her an easy one ! she is def. the legend of music of our time!

Posted by: Rada at Jul 16, 2007 2:04:58 PM

I performed in the Rocky Horror Picture Show throughout my entire pregnancy with my oldest son. Right up until my 9th month. I only quit because our venue was closed. It if you are healthy, you can remain quite active! :)
Congrats to her and her hubby, they really are going to be great parents, I know it!

Slightly off topic, but does anybody know if it's healthy to continue bleaching your hair while you are pregnant. Is this why Christina is wearing a hat - to cover dark roots?

When I was pregnant, my doctor said no dye the first trimester and then only highlights (because they don't touch the scalp). However, celebs like Gwen Stefani bleached their hair throughout the whole pregnancy.

Can somebody clear this up for me or is this one of those controversial topics that everybody has a different opinion on? Thanks!

Posted by: PSB at Jul 16, 2007 2:56:55 PM

PSB they have organic and other non-chemical hair dyes that they use now; if i'm not mistaken, gwen's hairstylist developed one just for her!

Posted by: lolly at Jul 16, 2007 3:30:48 PM

I think it would be great if it was all a gag. The only thing she probably hears and reads about is baby...baby...baby! I couldn't imagine someone always speculating about my life and the things I choose to keep personal.

Posted by: c.s. at Jul 16, 2007 4:06:12 PM

I worked with color and perms throughout both of my pregnancies. My doctor told me just to be careful, and that there was no actual data that supported negative results.

I can say though, chemicals on your hair while pregnant is not always a good idea, only because you can never be sure of results, because of hormones. Perms take not at all, or too well.. etc.

I stayed extremely blonde like Christina through my second pregnancy, because of my job, and because I felt ok with it. I would say use discretion and if it makes you personally nervous dont do it.

On another note, the only way for Gwen to keep her hair that blonde is bleach, no matter what.. color cant lift that blonde, not even "high lift" colors. Anything has to be mixed with a developer, which always has peroxide in it. Maybe she had used a natural toner, like aveda or something, which still needs a chemical developer.

Again, trust your mommy feelings with chemicals...

She looks great! I love that she's not even trying that hard to hide it.

Posted by: anna at Jul 16, 2007 5:56:58 PM

Her little bump is cute! I'll be looking forward to her sharing more details on her pregnancy, perhaps if she's even thought of any names yet. :)

Im an american girl in Perth who is 15 weeks along as well, awww :) Yay for Jordie and Xtina!

Posted by: Shonna at Jul 17, 2007 2:15:38 AM

oh please, pregnancy is not an illness. she is fine dancing and gyrating around. many women in third world nations work in the fields from dawn to dusk right to their delivery times, pop their wee one out, and right back to work.

i'm sure that her doctors have okayed her activity level- she does not seem the type to risk the health of her baby for the sake of a tour.

Posted by: Lisa at Jul 17, 2007 5:32:34 AM

She definitely kicked it up a notch at the concert even though she was pregnant. And she happy and beautiful. Definitely one artist who are doing things right.

Posted by: maya at Jul 17, 2007 6:53:36 AM

she looks like anna nicole smith there. not a good thing.

i think she will be a good mummy.

Posted by: hannah at Jul 17, 2007 7:39:57 AM

I'm so glad someone set the record straight about Gwen Stefani's hair. She's absolutely correct...you can't get that blonde without bleach. Lots of manufacturers and stylists will try to whitewash the facts and say something is naturally based, etc., but the fact is that no matter how many natural addives or extracts you put into a chemical process, it is STILL a chemical process. I worked for National Salon Resources in management and education, and i gaurantee you, there is no way on earth that girl's hair is anything but a double process (bleach and tone). You simply can't get a blonde like that without it (unless your hair is a babyfine level 9 to begin with, and that's not the case here--and the only place you find that is on tiny children). As for the possible ill-effects, we always advised stylists to never process on someone who was pregnant with any skin breaks (which you shouldn't process on anyway), and to leave the chemical on for the bare minimum amount of time to achieve the end result. Processing less frequently is also a prudent way to stay on the safe side. That being said, in all my time, I've never heard of anyone having ill effects from it, and I've known a LOT of pregnant stylists. Even with gloves you come into contact with a lot of chemicals! Personally, I was always more concerned about nail chemicals...the chemicals used for acrylics are far nastier than the ones used for hair!

I'm also 15 weeks along and I barely have a bump. She looks a little further along than 15 weeks.

Congrats to her.

Aaron- I did think about the acrylics when I was posting.. they are so gross! Even for a non-pregnant person! I had acrylics only one time,( besides in school when we did them to each other, and thats all I could handle!!) and I couldn't believe it but the woman herself was pregnant! All I could do was visualize her fetus breathing in the fumes :)

Posted by: Liza at Jul 17, 2007 12:13:15 PM

In regards to the comment about her not performing and giving it her all because she is pregnant; any doctor will tell you to continue doing what you were before pregnancy as far as exercise goes. Your body will tell you when you should stop. Her baby will be completely healthy with the amount of exercise she is getting. She's a smart girl and will stop when she needs to.

hey,

Christina's a natural blonde; she doesn't have to dye her hair.

But yes, she does look gorgeous! I can't wait to see the baby! I hope she has a girl, too!

:D

Posted by: Leanne at Jul 30, 2007 7:00:11 AM

I think she's now getting the type of respect as an entertainer that she's long deserved.
