Same thing happened with my mother. Then my brother and I starting popping them out one after another, and she was like ‘Ok, I wanted 1-2 grandchildren, NOT 4-5 in a row, I can't handle it!’

Lindsay Davenport talks more about Jagger, return to tennis

Lindsay Davenport, who will officially make her return to the WTA tourin doubles at Pilot Pen next month, has shared more info about her5-week-old son Jagger Jonathan, who he looks like the most, howshe’s preparing for her comeback and more.

Jagger was originally due July 2, but as she has revealed, he arrivedearly due to unspecified complications. He also threw Lindsay and herhusband Jonathan Leach for a loop because they believed they werehaving a girl and didn’t have any particular boy names picked out.

We did not know what we were having the whole pregnancy. For whateverreason, we thought we were having a girl. We were always reallydiscussing girl names. When he came out, we found out it was a boy, wehadn’t really discussed the possibility of anything other than a girl,so we went with the name that we had liked for the last few years…Welike maybe not the most traditional names. It was a name that we hadactually heard years ago. It was always kind of the name we wanted.

As for nicknames, the two, 31, don’t call him ‘J.J.,’ but anyone iswelcome to. Lindsay, who’s also breastfeeding - "last night we got to sixand a half hours in a row and he’s getting big" - says Jagger looksnothing like her and there’s no doubt as to who the father is.

I joked that I’m basically a surrogate to my husband’s twin. It’sridiculous. You know, my family tries to help. Oh, you know, hisfingers look like yours. But he is a hundred percent my husband, whichis cute. I mean, it’s amazing to look down and see that.

Recovering incredibly quickly from her c-section, the three-time grandslam champion started hitting the court only two weeks later, with herdoctor’s blessing, of course.

Normally you go in every four weeks for your post-op. I see my doctorevery week. My husband takes me there to make sure I’m totally doingwell and following orders. Great. I mean, everything I’ve done has beenwith her permission. Everything is totallyhealthy and fine.

While she doesn’t know how she’ll fare with an infant on tour, Lindsaysays she’s been inspired by women around her, including close pal GwenStefani, who’ve "done great things after having a baby."

Gwen Stefani is a friend of mine. She balances it all just amazing andshe’s inspiring. My mom went back to work after she had all of us. Bothmy sisters work. You know, just about being around that, I feel like Iwant to be able to try to do it all, and that’s obviously being a goodmother and a good wife and having some kind of career again hopefully.

And though Jagger is still too young to hold a racquet now, Lindsay hopes he will keep his options open for sports in the future.

We’ll see what happens. I think it’s probably in his best interestmaybe not to follow the tennis gene. You can’t really control what theywant to do. Hopefully he’ll be involved in some kind of sports.
