Proud new parents Matt Hoover and Suzy Preston from Biggest Loser famepose with their 4-week-old baby boy and "laid-back dude," Rex Timothy,in the latest In Touch. The two are loving parenthood so far, with Mattcalling it "the coolest thing I’ve ever done."
When you hold your son in your arms for the first time,everything up to that point becomes meaningless…I grew up in a placewhere you’d hear, ‘Once you become a father, your life is over. But forme, it’s just getting started. It’s awesome!
As for Suzy, who admitted it was difficult to watch her weight gain, the numbers on the scale are insignificant now.
I’mmore confident in my body than I’ve been in a long time. I don’t evenremember all the anguish about the weight because Rex is so worth it.
Rex, who eats every three hours, got his name from a wallhanging in a catalog his parents saw. The tyke completely takes afterhis father, the two claim.
He looks exactly like I did as a baby. But he’s changing every day and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
One thing Matt doesn’t want to see is a dirty diaper. Rex goesthrough one practically every hour and Matt is doing his best totolerate it.
Changing poopy diapers still makes me gag. But I’mtrying to get over that because being a dad is the most important thingto me and I love it.

I adore them and now that little one is so adorable. He is so adorbale. They look so happy and Rex looks so tiny in Matt’s arms. Good luck to them.

Liz- I also frowned when I read that name. I’m from Germany and over here that name is used as a dog name. Is it really a common name in the US?

Rex has that old grandpa look about him - it’s so cute! He looks tiny.
I think Suzy looks great, I always liked her on the show and I’m glad to see she is being realistic about her pregnancy weight gain. As far as Matt, maybe it is sympathy weight? They were so determined to lose the weight on the show, and they have even more motivation to be healthy now, I’m sure they’ll get there. I personally couldn’t help noticing their perfect white white teeth - silly I know, they just stand out! Great photos.

In the first pic he is wearing one of my favorite outfits. It is the under the nile blue footed layette

OMG. Matt has filled out a bit. Whew.
And why are some men, who can look at all kinds of filth, suddenly squeamish when it comes to changing their own child’s diaper?

Yeah. Get over it–it’s the least you could do after your wife carried your child for almost nine months and gave birth to him.

Love them! Little Rex does look like a lil old man. haha So cute.
Can’t wait to see more pics of him as he gets older. I really hope the both of them will lose the pregnancy weight ‘they’ gained. I’d hate for them to get back to how it was when they started at the Ranch.

Super cute baby for a super cute couple! I’m curious about her bottle-feeding though. Breastfeeding makes it a lot easier to burn those calories, ime. Congrats to them

I’m sure this will get modded but I think it needs to be addressed:

FIRST OFF, you assume this man looks at “filth”, which is probably ‘code’ for porn. You don’t know this. So, don’t don’t lump this one man is the category of “males”. SECOND OFF, the “filth” you are talking about is more of a sexual nature than POOP. Can you even appreciate your bizarre comment and perspective?

HE DOESN’T HAVE TO get over anything…he’s doing it! It’s no different than when a woman complains of cramps, bloating, skins pains, etc et al. The complaints are legitimate and real. It’s what one does or does not do, which defines an individual.
FINALLY, you must appreciate that males have been changing poopy diapers for only 30-40 years. And most males under the age of 40 really didn’t have direct teachings from their fathers (and mothers) regarding such activities as changing diapers.
Perhaps it is you who should look in the mirror and toss out some stones before you judge others.
