Rachel Griffiths is a “soccer mum”
Brothers & Sisters star
Rachel Griffiths has said she would love to
raise her family,
Banjo Patrick, 3 1/2, and
Adelaide Rose, 2, with husband
Andrew Taylor, in her native Australia once the drama ends in six years, but for now, Los Angeles makes for a great temporary home.
I’m a bit of a Valley mum, bit of a soccer mum. I live 15 minutes from work, so the kids come in. The Disney lot’s fantastic - it’s a bit like entering the world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Her TV gig requires her to live in Los Angeles approximately 10 months out of the year, which Rachel loves since it creates a more stable environment for her children, unlike the transitory nature of film shoots.
It was so stressful dragging the kids everywhere - I just thought, this is not going to work. I wasn’t dragged around as a kid. I loved my continuity of existence, living in the one house. If this show goes seven years, which I had to be prepared for, it’ll just provide a really fantastic stability.

I want to say that Rachel Griffiths is the best actress to ever walk the planet. She is talented in many facets of the film industry. She is versatile in her characters. Give her a personality and she goes with it. Even best is that she is able to be convincingly American without a hint of her Australian accent when she is in character. On top of all of this she is gorgeous and beautiful. I would be in awe if I could meet her and all I would say is “thank you for giving your all in everyway both personally and professionally.” Rock on Rachel!!!
