Victoria Beckham doing “crowd control”
Three kids is a handful for Victoria Beckham. The Spice Girl said onThe Tonight Show with Jay Leno that being outnumbered by her kids,Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 4, and Cruz, 2, has changed her perspective onparenting.
We’ve got so many children now, I think it’s not about parentinganymore. It’s about crowd control. I feel that with so many, I’mconstantly, ‘Don’t do this. Don’t do that. Don’t touch this. Don’ttouch that.’
As for expanding the crowd, Victoria, 33, says she would love to have a daughter, hopefully in a few years’ time.
If I’m blessed enough to have another baby at some point, that would begreat. I’m really girly and I would love to dress a little girl up, butwe’ll see what happens. Maybe in a few years.
Meanwhile, she and David are busy settling into their new L.A. home right down thestreet from Jay, who extended an invite to the family to go for a spinin some of his collector’s vehicles, including a fire engine.
My kids would think it’s so cool to go for a ride around in a fire engine.

Well…can I be in the family and ride around in one of Jay’s collector motorcyles or other vehicles?

I hope they can have a girl if they want one, but with all those boys, aren’t the odds really slim? It’ll be harder for the press to call the kids “the Beckham boys” though!!

She seems like a loving mum to her boys, but with the way she is with her image and self-image (where she almost looks like a mannequin sometimes with her body (very skinny and with implants) and her hair, clothes, super-tanned skin, and so on), I hope her expectations wouldn’t be too hard for a little girl about needing to look a “certain way.” I don’t think she’d mean to, but it just seems like as controlled as she is about her appearance and wanting to “dress up” a girl, she’d be more particular about how the girl would look, especially when she got to be a teenager.

Emmalee, I agree. She seems to have some body issues. Even if she doesn’t impose anything on her daughter, studies have shown that it really affects a young girl when she grows up around a mother who is obsessed with her own looks, as it has an impact on the way a child sees herself. You can be the most loving mom in the world, but still mess a child’s self-image up just by having a bad self image of yourself.
Some people are just meant to have boys. Maybe she was meant to have three sons who adore her and who won’t be as affected by her body dysmorphia as a girl would probably be. Nature has a way of giving us what we need.

Nicole, her odds of having a girl are equal to her odds of having another boy. even though she has three boys, that has nothing to do with the odds of having a girl. It’s still 50/50, with each child.

I do wonder what type of mother she would be to a girl. I’m not saying anything negative about her or her mothering because I don’t know her, but I agree that it seems like she was meant to have boys. My mom had 3 girls and believes that she was meant to raise daughters.

Ok are some of you saying she doesnt deserve a little girl because of how she dresses or act? I’m sorry but what? I know some people said oh thank god Jordan had a girl before the Beckhams when Jordan had her little girl. Why didnt anyone say Jordan didnt deserve a girl either because of her implants or her dress sense?
Each child is a blessing and if they ever have a girl, I am sure she would be very loved and would be as confident as her big brothers. Well with three big brothers who are so into football and all things boyish, I wont be shocked if the little girl will be a tomboy.

I actually caught her interview last night and I have to say my view on her has changed. I always thought she seemed stuck up and self centered (and that was just on photographs alone) but she was really funny and sweet in the interview and when Jay asked her about her photos why she never smiles bc her smile is beautiful she said, I know I do come off rather bitchy but I’m really not!
I still don’t get the hype over them. But they are a gorgeous family and I think a little girl may complete the package. Even if she’s adopted. But her boys sure are adorable.

Nobody said she didn’t “deserve” a girl at all! Some of us just think that you are given the children you are meant to have for whatever reason. If Victoria only has boys, then that’s probably what was best for her and the children.
Some people make better parents to one gender or the other. I obviously don’t know her personally, but I just think that a person who *appears* to have an eating disorder may have some issues with raising a girl.
She seems to be a very loving mother to those boys and I’m sure she feels rewarded by having boys as well. They probably all worship her.

I agree that her views regarding the female body could have a somewhat negative impact on her daughter.
Also, the quote “we have so many children” … um, no you don’t honey. Talk to Michelle and JimBob Duggar if you want to talk about having ’so many children’.

I think that she is a good mother to her boys, and I think its pretty sad that people are implying that she in some way would mess up her daughter, which is awful. I really do hope that she and david one have the daughter they have always wanted , because I think that this little girl would be loved to pieces just like her brothers.
Three children is alot to some people now a days.

I saw her on leno, she seemed quite nice. And Sage your right for some people I know 3 kids seems like a lot, especially when they have them within a few years apart, so I get what she is saying. She also said if she was blessed to have a girl, that would be nice, but she didn’t make it seem like a big deal. Just because she is skinny and into fashion, that doesn’t mean she won’t be a good mom to a girl, that’s silly to say IMO. And if she just has boys than that’s what she was meant to have, and I’m sure she feels blessed to have 3 healthy beautiful boys.
