Billy Ray Cyrus talks about daughter’s star quality
Country singer and actor Billy Ray Cyrus has a natural born star on his hands with daughter, Miley, 14, who is featured on the television show Hannah Montana. The 46-year-old was recently interviewed by Country Weekly Magazine where he discussed his daughter’s star quality. He said,
The child had been coming out onstage with me since she was big enoughto walk and talk and sing. She walked out on the Ralph Emery show [Nashville Now] one time pushing a baby carriage with a Willie Nelson doll—well, it was like a cross between Willie and Chucky. It wassomething one of the fans had made. She loved that Willie Nelson doll.Carl Perkins was sitting beside me. He patted my leg and said, ‘You’vegot you a star right there.’

Two of my daughters are very into Hannah everything. We live near Nashville, Tn and was hoping to take them to her concert but that’s not going to happen. Ticketmaster sold most of the tickets to scalpers and they are as high as $700.00 so far. There are no more regular price tickets available. No one is happy about this because only the rich parents can treat their kids and everyone else is left to tell their kids no. It may not be the star’s fault, but it’s hurt her popularity a lot here in Nashville. Has anyone else been lucky enough to get tickets to one of her concerts?

Jen - I took my daughter to a Cheetah Girls concert where Miley (performing as Hannah Montana) was the opening act. This was before her show really took off, so I was able to buy the tickets at face value. The Cheetah Girls will probably be opening for Miley next time!

Jen-
Im taking my niece to see Miley to the Nashville show. We were VERY lucky to get two tickets at face value. I got them literally AT 10:00– and I tried to get another at 10:01, and they were gone.

My 6 year old is a HUGE fan and I was hoping to take him (yes, him!) but we weren’t able to get tickets either! We live just outside of Nashville and the scalping is absolutely ridiculous!
On a good note, I love the show. It’s one of the few kids shows that I love to watch! Huge props to Billy Ray and his wife on raising such down to earth kids!

We also live in Nashville, and I was hoping to take my girls for their bdays (11/14 & 11/16) but unfortunately that wont be happening. They LOVE Hannah Montana, so it was really heartbreaking.

I live in Knoxville and my 9 year old was heartbroken when we couldn’t get tickets. I literally just an hour ago got tickets to High School Musical on Ice!!!! Can’t wait for my daughter to get home from school to tell her, she knew that tickets went fast and we didn’t think we’d get them. My mom works w/ a lady whose husband works at the colliseum and he got us GREAT tickets. I am tingling all over (for Sophi, my daughter). These shows go soooo fast! I’m hoping that Miley will be able to add shows to her tour. I’d say she must be upset w/ what has happened w/ scalpers. At our house the Disney Channel is HUGE!! *sshh* my husband is 51, I’m 41… LOL
