Bobby Brown misses 'the simple things' about daughter Bobbi Kristina
In support of a declaration filed in July and made public this week in his ongoing custody dispute with ex-wife Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown appeared in court Friday, saying of the estranged couple's 14-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina,
I just want to be there to help her make the right decisions and be her father.
Lawyers for Bobby said that Whitney -- whom Bobby has previously accused of attempting to keep him from Bobbi Kristina -- flew the rapper to Atlanta on Wednesday to visit with their daughter, and instructed Bobby to stay away from Friday's court hearing. Bobby refused to meet her demand, instead appearing before the Orange County, Calif. court; The judge in the case has ordered both sides to give depositions and argue their respective motions on Oct. 22.
Said Bobby afterward,
I miss watching [Bobbi Kristina] sleep, making her laugh, everything, it's the simple things. She looks like me – it's like looking in the mirror. The goal is to see her a lot more and to be involved in the decision making in her life, the places she goes, the people she hangs out with. All of that.
Bobbi Kristina is the only child for the couple, who divorced earlier this year.
