Heidi looks great! Can't wait for the next Project Runway!! I wonder though, if she ever tires of going out with so many people. Seems like there's always a troupe of them...mom, nannies, kids. Probably makes it easier and all, but I would tire of it quickly.

Posted by: mandii at Sep 14, 2007 12:25:40 PM

Finally!! I was wondering when Heidi's going to bring her gorgeous babies out for some fresh air :D

Posted by: MaryN at Sep 14, 2007 12:39:49 PM

Heidi looks great, and her mom looks awesome for being in her 60's. They always have a few nannies with them, you would think she has 8 kids instead of just 3 lol.

Posted by: gabriella at Sep 14, 2007 12:43:08 PM

Very cute family. I don't get why they need 4 adults for 3 children though. I still love Heidi and Project Runway!

Posted by: Kdogg at Sep 14, 2007 12:53:17 PM

It is a wonder why celebrities must travel en masse when going out. Cute kids, though.

Posted by: Jen at Sep 14, 2007 1:33:08 PM

Not the nanny brigade again...!
If Brad and Angie can successfully take out 2 or even 3 kids with just a body guard and they are far more high profile, I don't see why Heidi needs to take 2 and 3 nannies, plus herself and her mom....

Posted by: swt at Sep 14, 2007 2:10:20 PM

What sort of cover does Heidi have over the bugaboo seat? I wish I had thought of that. Mine is filthy.

Posted by: catesmom at Sep 14, 2007 2:35:55 PM

Such a cute family; I think Johan is the "little" Henry and I just love the hair.

Posted by: Princess at Sep 14, 2007 3:06:45 PM

Heidi has really cute style, and a good body after three babies. Johan looks more like henry, than he does heidi now. And Leni looks so much like her dad, the older she gets.

Posted by: gabriella at Sep 14, 2007 4:46:14 PM

Heidi looks awesome despite the fact that she had a baby 9 months ago!! I wish I had the money and time to lose all my babyfat so quickly. Her daughter is cute thought. Is her father in her life or is Seil (or whatever his name is, Johan and Henry's dad) like a dad to her??

Sarah's note: No, her biological father is not in her life. Seal was there for the final months of Heidi's pregnancy, was at Leni's birth, and considers her his daughter.

Posted by: Miranda at Sep 14, 2007 5:21:36 PM

Im kinda miffed!
Heidi? Just buy a double stroller and let Leni walk next to you. Theres no need to bring extra people. The reason you carry your children is so they are close to YOU, not close to a nanny.

I have no problems with the Nannies themselves. Im more peeved at the parents who use them for the wrong reasons.

Posted by: preesi at Sep 14, 2007 5:59:22 PM

Maybe Heidi wanted the kids walking that day so they could get some exercise? Maybe the kids didn't want to ride in the stroller that day? Who cares!!! Who are we to determine someone's reasons for having a nanny or two? I mean really folks, can we please let mothers raise their children as they see fit? I mean are we really going to knock someone for having a nanny carry one of their children while she caters to the other two? COME ON. Even when Heidi has her nannies with her she is still a hands on mom with her children. She is no less of a mother if she has her own mother carry Henry or if a nanny does. I really wish folks would stop all of the nitpicking all of the time.

Posted by: lizzielui at Sep 14, 2007 6:12:11 PM

Aww, Johan asleep is the cutest thing, almost as cute as he is awake. And I still want to rush him and pinch those cheeks....then just take off with him for a few hours. ;)

All the kids are adorable, really! :)♥

Posted by: FC at Sep 14, 2007 6:44:48 PM

i just wanna know how many cars did they come in? 4 adults and 3 car seats and stuff like strollers and bags??? wow.

Posted by: lboog at Sep 14, 2007 7:24:58 PM

Leni looks so much like Flavio now, that's crazy.

And I still think that Johan looks a lot like Heidi.

Posted by: Émilie at Sep 14, 2007 7:27:16 PM

I know plenty of mothers who would love to have two nannies when going out so I can't be upset with her for that. I don't get why people take it personally when celebs have a nanny. It's their kids and their money.Let's be honest, kids are a handful and when you are talking about three under the age of five, wow! I hope when I have children I can at least afford one nanny:)

Posted by: Renee at Sep 14, 2007 7:45:38 PM

My nanny and I have grown to be friends and she often comes with us on shopping trips and what not. Maybe they are just close and all go out together at times? Regardless, WOW - how sweet is Johan! Such gorgeous children. I adore this family.

Posted by: brannon at Sep 14, 2007 7:58:06 PM

Aww these babies are pure cuteness, especially little Jo. I can't resist his chubby ckeeks! So cute! I love Henry's little afro I find him cute as always! He's turning into a handsome little man and Leni is sweet too. Heidi looks amazing, I mean you'd never guess she gave birth three times!

Posted by: popi at Sep 14, 2007 8:03:39 PM

Hullloooo...

Has anyone ever thought that maybe, just maybe Heidi just has other grown women that she likes to hang with (just like the rest of us). And if not, what's wrong with "HELP"!!!!

Posted by: sassytrl at Sep 14, 2007 9:32:03 PM

I am a self-professed stroller-wh*** and I would love to know how many stroller she has total...
Does she have a couple on the west coast and a couple on the east and she takes a Maclaren or 2 when she travels in between?

Forget the nannies and the help - I can manage my 3 kids fine on my own! I want all of her strollers!!!!

Oh ya - I also ♥ this family!!

Posted by: Christine at Sep 14, 2007 9:44:10 PM

These kids are gorgeous, and Johan is just so cute!!! All the kids are so different, and yet they all still look related. I think that's amazing :)

Posted by: Alex at Sep 14, 2007 10:04:12 PM

Christine, I was wondering the same thing. Do regular folks buy more than one stroller? I have a few friends that buy one and then when the kids get to the toddler stage want to buy another. Is that par for course?

Posted by: Lisette at Sep 14, 2007 11:02:21 PM

Does anyone know where to get that cover for the Bugaboo seat?? I totally need it..and I love Heidi so what of she has nannies;)

Posted by: Sarah at Sep 15, 2007 1:10:27 AM

I love the car seat cover... Im pretty sure its a bumble bags print as my friend has the matching diaper bag! Im just use to seeing it with the matching canopy. So CUTE!!!

Posted by: Erica at Sep 15, 2007 1:41:25 AM

Yes! I'm right... After a little more research I figured out that it is a Bumble Bags print called "lemon-lime dot" found it on their website!

Posted by: erica at Sep 15, 2007 1:53:04 AM

Does anyone know how Leni's name is pronounced?

Lenny? Laynie? Leenie?

Sarah's note: Lay-knee is how it sounds in English. When Heidi pronounces it in her German accent, it's slightly different. A few German CBB readers explained it before.

Posted by: Mousie at Sep 15, 2007 3:54:15 AM

Johan is so cute..and big!

Posted by: mon at Sep 15, 2007 6:21:07 AM

Why are people so obsessed with how many nannies/help this family has. How about letting them decide what works best. You know, it's really no one's business. I think there are a lot of envious people out there. And, Pressi, you sound like one of them. Can we stop lecturing these celebrity parents and just enjoy the lovely photos.

Posted by: Carol at Sep 15, 2007 6:40:48 AM

I think Leni is going to look like her Mom and be a model. I don't think the boys look that much alike. I believe Johan is going to be the better looking of the two. Henry looks very much like his father to me, just lighter in color. Johan is more of a blend. Some children do favor one parent or the other more, while some blend their charactoristics into a new combination.

Posted by: Daze at Sep 15, 2007 8:38:27 AM

Jeez, Johan is so sweet! That is a gorgeous baby!

Posted by: Ana at Sep 15, 2007 10:56:59 AM

Carol? I havent worked a day since 1989 I dont have to, my days are completely free.
At the end of the school year my sons teachers gave me an award for the best homeroom mom. Im a very active and present parent. Ive never even had a babysitter ONE DAY. But I could afford one.
Its not about JEALOUSY, okay?
Its about the fact that I had a friend whose parents owned a horse club in my area and she had a nanny growing up. The mom died and my friend wasnt upset by it. However, when her nanny died she was inconsolable.
My moms ex boss and his wife both have high powered jobs yet had two children and only get to see them for a half hour a day. The nannies cook dinner and the parents get home just in time to put them in bed!

Why have children if you cant be present?

I dont have a problem with the NANNIES themselves because I think there is a purpose for them, I just have a issue with the fact that celebs already have housekeepers, chefs, landscapers, personal trainers etc so how is it they are too exhausted still to deal with their own kids! Especially if you have a Father and active GRANDPARENTS!?
Why cant Courtney Cox take Coco to the beach for a mom and daughter day without a nanny?

Its just odd to me...

(HOPING THIS POSTS! I dont see anything mean)

Posted by: preesi at Sep 15, 2007 12:31:55 PM

Congratulations, Pressi, on your award for being the best home room mother. The fact that many mothers/parents choose to work outside the home does not deem them uninvolved, disinterested or unloving parents. I don't think it's fair to judge celebrity parents from what you see on a blog. We do not walk in their shoes, we are not present in their daily lives. But we are very quick to decide what is best for their children. There are many non-celebrity kids out there with stay at home parents who are not flourishing and thriving. Perhaps, Pressi, you could be happy in the knowledge that you are doing what you feel is best for your family and let others do the same.

Addendum: I don't know that Courtney Cox DOESN'T have mother daughter days with Coco, at the beach or anywhere else, and neither do you.

Posted by: Carol at Sep 15, 2007 1:44:27 PM

Carol? Again Im not against Nannies, Im against the OVERUSE of them. Im NOT against women working outside the home (that was a Strawman from you) Im talking about Celebrities who...LOOK... I have no issues with an executive who while she is gone for the week on a business trip has a nanny for the kids. However, once the executive returns from her trip, SHE should be the ONLY one looking after her kids when shes home.

Theres just no reason that you should have 2 Nannies with you on a shopping trip if your mom is with you! NONE!

Posted by: preesi at Sep 15, 2007 3:00:35 PM

Johan is the cutest baby! He is adorable. Leni is sweet.

Posted by: lori at Sep 15, 2007 3:54:37 PM

Thanks, Sarah. I've always wondered how Leni was pronounced and I knew I'd find out here !

If Courteney Cox brings a nanny to the beach with Coco, it probably has to do with the endless photographers always crowding around. An extra person could help keep Coco at a distance from them.

I've seen lots of occasions where she's with Coco with no nanny.

Posted by: Mousie at Sep 15, 2007 4:26:51 PM

I agree all of heidi's kids kinda resemble each other, in different ways IMO. Even though none of them really look like her to me. Johan has heidi's eye shape I think though, but not much else. Henry looks nothing like heidi, and leni a bit but she is more flavio the other she gets.

Posted by: gabriella at Sep 16, 2007 1:39:27 AM

I would like to say, I think there is a big difference between having a nanny who cares for your children when you work (like Jennifer and Ben with Violet have talked about) and having nannies who spend time with your children which is supposed to be your time with them.
I have 4 kids ranging in age between 3 and 9 and I work, I have a good job. I have been a stay at home mom, a full time working mom and a part time working mom. I won't work full time because having done it I truly don't think you get quality time when you are gone the majority of your childs waking hours, so I made BIG sacrifices and cut back. I now work 4 days a week, with one of those being slightly shorter (finish at 3). When I was a stay at home mom, I had a lot more time to get things done during the day i.e. laundry, dishes, cooking preperation for dinner etc, now I fit that in around work and kids. I have two very high profile friends, they are not like Heidi, they use their nannies for when they work and a 1/2 day the days they don't work to go to the gym (Hollywood is very unforgiving). There is a big difference between having a nanny from 9-12 and then spending the afternoon with your kids, even though you're a celeb and having nannies go everywhere with you. I think they are a great family, but I think it would be nice if Heidi spent time with her kids without her "HELPERS"! Just my 2cents!

Posted by: sugar at Sep 16, 2007 4:46:01 AM

notice on the last photo Henry on the ground and the nanny standing over him. Is Heidi smiling because Henry is a handful and she's happy the nanny is there to deal with his antics while she takes a break? Or is she blissfully unaware her child is on the ground while she smiles and poses for the camera? I personally would like to think it's the former as I'm laughing at that photo.

Her kids look happy and well cared for. Who cares how many people it takes to do it?

Just tell me what bag is she carrying?

Posted by: G at Sep 16, 2007 2:57:30 PM

Why is it that Heidi Klum is about the only celeb mom who is bashed for having nannies with her while out in public with her kids?

Plenty of other celeb moms (and celeb dads as well!) have nannies out with them and their kids in public....But yet those celeb moms hardly ever get criticized for doing so! In fact, I even remember seeing Julia Roberts's twins out with JUST their nanny a couple of times while Julia was pregnant with Henry (and one of those times was on the twins' birthday to boot!)....and it was hardly a blip on the radar!

I just don't get why Heidi gets criticized so much for having nannies with her and her kids out in public, but yet other celebs don't!

Posted by: Annoynomus at Sep 17, 2007 12:19:56 AM

Annonymous?
Lots of other celebs get taken to task for having Nannies. BUT Heidi, on this outdoor leisure excursion, has her mom with her. Her and her mom should be enough childcare for her 3 kids. But Heidi has 2 Nannies along as well.
Overkill!

Posted by: preesi at Sep 17, 2007 8:02:35 AM

WOW! I'm really new to this Blog world. do any of the people posting about "public people" really know enough about their personal life to judge them & speak for them? I don't think their true friends would do this.

Any ways... I just had my 5th girl. I do not have any help at the time. I do need it. I always have been a room mom, helper, donate all kinds of things. driver, coach etc...I had a few au pairs/nannies.not all at once. I had a baby boutique for a few years & needed extra help. Not that I couldn't do it on my own, I have done much on my own volunteering at schools etc... but I got one & it was mostly for EXTRA EYES & HANDS for SAFETY concerns.

I took my youngest at the time to my store with me. I hate being away from my girls. Believe it or not, I hardly ever had a babysitter yet I had live in help??? I am a hands on mom. A Few friends around me had Au paires, so I tried it. We ALL treat our help diff.(whatever help it may be for) we all use our help for diff. reasons. My help/nanny came everywhere with me because they LOVED being around US.

If I am to have someone take care of my children you better believe I'm going to treat them with respect & like family. Just as I would want them to treat my own children.(you can only be so careful)

I'm protective of my girls. I wish I could afford more than one. I like having others around me, its fun for us all & a lot safer. we don't see everything they do in person. These are PUBLIC PHOTOS. How do you all know its all nannies? could be a nanny friend too. they do hang out together~ its great for them too if from a diff. country. My Au paires friend came with us a few places. She didn't speak great English yet & was learning. We also learned to TRY to speak German from them.

If I was a public figure you better believe with all the wierdo's out there... I would invite anyone that helped me to come along. I'm sure those nannies love the children & know how tough it is to have a normal outing.

Shame on anyone who likes to judge just for drama. Please.... try harder to not judge & think positive. All that negative thinking only brings you down. Its not flattering at all.

Posted by: Joelle at Sep 18, 2007 11:35:34 AM

ohhh by the way.. I do understand how easy it is to vent when you do see those more fortunate then the rest taking advantage of what they have & their main priority ISN'T their children... it is disgusting & it does stink when so many more people struggle to do the best for their family. Believe me I fully understand.

I need more help now that my girls are older than when they were younger. My 4 older girls do not do "babysitting" they are too busy. I now have older babies to watch & worry about! : ) more drama & more $$$.... I wish I had lots more HANDS & EYES!

just wait & see how they act when their little ones are older.....bigger problems...........I think this family
will deal with it well!
