Two is enough for Chris Daughtry and wife

Tags: Dads , News
Don't expect a baby announcement from Chris Daughtry, 27, any time soon. The singer's wife Deanna says they have no plans to add to their family, which already includes daughter Hannah, 11, and son Griffin, 8.
We have two, that's good enough. They're old enough to boss us around!

Did I imagine that she had to have an emergency hysterectomy during American Idol and he thought about leaving the competition? Or was that someone else? I didn't follow his season that closely. Wow, I can't believe he's only 27. He seems to be doing very well for himself after American Idol.

That's good, at least they got to experience having a son and a daughter.

Wow, how old is wife?? He would have been 16 when their daughter was born..

That's to bad he would have adorable babies. Does anyone know anything about his children? I have heard the daughter was her's from a previous relationship and that the son they adopted but i have also heard he was her's from a previous relationship. I didn't know which story is correct.

I believe his wife had a hysterectomy the year he was on Idol. The children are hers, although he adopted the youngest, Griffin.

i thought his wife had a hysterectamie(SP)

I believe they are her children from a previous relationship and he took them on as his own.

They are his step-children but I guess he considers them his own :D

Yeah, the kids aren't biologically his. They're Deanna's from a previous relationship. And she's older than him, 33, I believe.

And yes, she had to have a hysterectomy last year, so I guess it really is no more kids for them!

Are y'all sure about the hysterectomy? It seems odd that people would be asking when they're going to have kids next if she can't have them (unless they're talking about surrogacy or adoption.)

Posted by: Rebecca at Sep 20, 2007 2:10:26 PM

Yes, the children are NOT biologically his.

I think both kids are from Deanna's previous relationship. Quote from Chris: "When we got married, I took on the two kids as my own. So, you know, she was saying that she was scared that I was sacrificing my dream by doing that, and that she was just really excited that I'm still gettin' to live it -- even though I took on the married life and the family early, that I'm still able to live my dream."

Most guys probably can't imagine even getting married at 19, let alone taking on 2 kids that weren't theirs at that age.
