Lailaali240_2 Champion boxer Laila Ali has announced to Essence that she and her husband, former football player Curtis Conway, 37, are expecting their first child together this fall. The baby will join Curtis' three children from his previous marriage -- 13-year-old twin sons Cameron and Kelton and 9-year-old daughter Leilani -- and will be a grandchild for Muhammad Ali.

On the pregnancy, the 30-year-old American Gladiator host and DWtS Season 4 third place finisher shares,

I don’t know yet if we are having a boy or a girl, but I’m excited that I have a life inside me that my husband and I created.

Curtis is very calm and has a quiet confidence, and he wanted what I wanted -- to be married and have a family. I am 100 percent undeniably happy. I've never been able to say that before.

She is so beautiful, I loved her on DWTS. Hope the baby inherits her looks. Tink I'm sure there are other grandchildren in the Ali family, Muhammed has like 7-8 kids.

i'm so happy for her... i think she's the perfect embodiment on how to be an athletic lady (my opinion) i'm so happy for her... i think i remember her saying (because he already has a few) that she didn't care if it happened or not... i'm very very happy for her...

no doubt that baby's gonna be a looker... she's gorgeous, her mama's gorgeous, her daddy was definitely the "prettiest" heavy-weight champion in the world... and i remember their wedding pics, curtis wasn't too shabby himself... (smile)

It sure didn't take long, since she'd talked of hanging up her gloves to be a wife, spend time with her family. And, wow, she got married almost a year ago and now they're expecting. I was hoping she'd have a baby somewhere down the road.

I'm excited for them and their family. Looking forward to following Laila's pregnancy! :)

Is this the second time she's been married? Cause I swear I saw something about her getting married to someone else a few years ago?!

Sarah's note: Yes.

Aww Congrats to Laila and Curtis. I really enjoyed seeing Laila on DWS.

I am glad that Muhammed Ali will be a grandpa again and I hope he is able to spend time with his grandchildren. It is heartbreaking to see the man who used to "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee" so ill.
