Actor Ryan Phillippe, 33, took children Ava Elizabeth, 8, and Deacon Reese, 4, to Big Bear Lake in CA on Sunday. The kids threw rocks into the lake and poked around with sticks while Ryan took photos of them with his iPhone. Mom is Reese Witherspoon.

Deacon & Ryan seem to have such a strong relationship, it's very adorable! (Well Ava too, but I think the father/son thing is pretty strong!)

It was great to have them up in Big Bear this past weekend. We get lots of celebrities as both residents and visitors, probably because Big Bear is known to give celebrities their space and I have yet to see a celebrity being bombarded by fans or pararazzi up here, so while I enjoy seeing pictures of them it makes me a little sad that so many pictures were taken and they were not allowed to enjoy more privacy (although at least it's obvious the pictures were taken with a telephoto lens from the lake).

Adorable! You know, I've been wondering something for a while, in all the pictures that are taken of the celebrity babies...do any of them get sent to their parents for framing, etc.?

Sarah's note: I don't think so. There was talk after Heath's death, that since a few of the agencies had gotten a lot of great snaps of Matilda with her dad, that they'd be sending a packet on 8x10s to Michelle's agent to give her when they felt it was appropriate. I don't know if that ever materialized though.

As I look at these pictures, I can't help but remember Ryan's upcoming W Magazine interview, where he talks about Ava worrying about how she looks because she knows she'll be in magazines. I think she's such a cute, stylish and mostly happy girl, but it saddens me that as an 8 year old, she already feels one of the pressures of Hollywood.

Roise that was really sad! I think its horrible that and 8 year old is already worrying about that!

It makes me sad that when Ryan is trying to have a private moment with his children (he's even taking a photo of them to remember the moment), that someone's sneaking in photos. I like seeing celebrities, but not like this. This makes me feel guilty.

i love that these children dont reflect the product of a broken marriage. you see them with both parents equally and just as happy. reese and ryan seem to really have it together in that sense. and with young hollywood these days....this is refreshing!

Does anyone know where Ava's hat and jacket are from?

Rosie, I read that same snippet on JustJared. Ryan said Ava is at a stage where she is very conscious of what she wears because she knows she will be photographed when she goes out and her classmates will come up to her saying they've seen her in magazines. Very sad. At least she doesn't seem to know she is being photographed here and thus not upset. Then again, it might make her feel worse if she doesn't know and finds out she was being photographed later.
