Absolutely one of the most gorgeous babies I have EVER seen! Such a blend of Tom and Katie. It is so fun to see pics of Suri! Shes about the same age as my ds so its fun to watch em grow up together! :)

She's adorable and looks like such a little imp full of spirit!

Has anyone else noticed that in the last very recent pictures of Suri, her hair is considerably lighter?? It's just suddenly very noticeably different... I can't imagine that it's been lightened at the salon --who does this to a baby (?!)

Posted by: KW at May 5, 2008 11:53:03 AM

I saw on a couple other websites they were commenting on how they colored her hair...I hope that's not true because it's way too early to start all that!!

I've noticed the same thing. But, it could just be the camera and/or lighting. Sometimes, my girls tresses look very blonde in pics, depending upon the lighting. Although in winter, and without the bounce of sun rays, we're back to light brown hair.

She's starting to favor her mom a bit more. Especially around the mouth.

But, back to the concern over changing the color of Suri's hair via unnatural means.
I wouldn't think that they would change the hair color. She was georgeous as she was. What would there be to gain?

Suri is a gorgeous child, such pretty hair and eyes, one of the best looking celebrity babies. My hair as a newborn was black and as I got older, it got very light, and it's happened to plenty kids I know too. It's not uncommon, for children's hair or eyes to change.

I seriously doubt they are coloring a 2 year old's hair. My daughter is nearly 2 and her hair looks light brown, dark brown and strawberry blonde depending on the lighting or how much time we've spent out in the sun. She is adorable by the way!

So adorable! Such beautiful eyes. She is looking more like her Mom.

I don't think Tom or Katie would dye her hair. My little brother had brown hair for a while, then when he started to get outside more, it became almost blonde. It's probably sun bleached. You can see the under hair of her bangs is darker. She just has sun bleached hair. If she was a blonde her hair would probably be platinum from the sun(i.e. Presley Crawford).

I really doubt they would chemically change the color of her hair. A lot of kids hair color changes as they get older and if she has been in the sun that would also lighten it up.

Suri is absolutely stunning, but so is her Mom.

She's adorable!!
I think people are always looking for something to criticize, of course they wouldn't dye their 2 year olds hair! I have two daughters and chlildren's hair changes colors all the time, whether it's just the lighting or with spring and summer coming very well could be from the sun.

Posted by: Amanda at May 5, 2008 1:00:51 PM

she is dead ringer for daisy lowe! (gavin rossdale's elder daughter,18) stunning!

Posted by: louise at May 5, 2008 1:02:50 PM

That girl is breathtakingly beautiful.

I saw people on other sites actually wondering whether Tom and Katie had coloured her hair.

Most people know that a lot of people's hair gets lighter in the sun. Chances are, at Suri's age now, she's running around and playing in the garden and the sun has done that.

Posted by: Cezzie at May 5, 2008 1:08:18 PM

my little one is 2 1/2 and her hair has always been VERY dark brown and when she is outside playing (we live in california, so the sun is out quite often!) her hair has become a much lighter brown with highlights! I doubt that they would chemically alter their childs hair! she is quite a cutie though!

Look at her, sweet Jesus she is gorgeous. She is so beautiful words fail me.

I doubt it is professional coloring. If it was, it is not well done and I think her parents have enough money to get it well done. Not that it would be proper to color a two year old's hair. Maybe it is chlorine from the water or something innocent. Lets not criticise and judge without knowing the truth.

It actually looks darker than it did the day before.

My hair, when it is left to it's natural color... does the same thing... to an even bigger extent My oldest son's does, too.

His to the utmost extent... he has hair that is naturally almost charcoal in color... almost black... and when he gets a ton of sun, it lightens to a rich golden brown (like if you took honey and a light chocolate)... and by the end of the summer... it's got blonde streaks in it and is almost all caramel color, with a second set of natural streaks of the chocolate color.

What the sun can do to our hair is amazing... and really beautiful.

My own hair, however, without the sun, is a very mousy brown (henceforth, why I started dying it in high school)... but during the summer it would lighten to full on blonde.... and in the spring, it would be a caramel color.

So I really think that it's just that Suri may have been spending her days outside and the suns rays worked their magic.

Wow, girly looks like mummy doesn't she? She's a stunning child, I'm so glad she's growing up to look like her beautiful mum. On the subject of the hair colour, I doubt it's been dyed. It would be shockingly irresponsible to do something like that to a toddler, I just can't see that happening when they'd know how much criticism they'd get for it. What would be the purpose anyway? She's got beautiful hair whether it's dark or lighter. I can't wait to see if she has any brothers or sisters on the way soon!

While I do agree that kids hair naturally changes colors (my little blondies are changing constantly), I've yet to see that drastic of a change in just 4 days. My hair is naturally about the same as Suri's (normal) color, and when Im out in the sun, it usually bleaches the top or most exposed parts of my hair. If you look at hers in that pic, she's got hair at the bottom (which shouldnt get enough exposure) that is as light or lighter than some thats far more exposed. I have no idea if they lightened it, but I think it's very odd. I also dont think it's lighting, several sites are showing pics of her under different lighting, but her hair is still light.
I really dont want to think anyone would do that to a child, but we're talking about Hollywood people. Anything is possible with them.

I agree with those who have mentioned the sun as a possible reason her hair appears/is lighter. When I was little, I had dark blonde/light brown hair. In the summer, my hair would literally be white blonde from being outside. As I got older, it didn't go to white blonde, but still lightened up considerably. And of course that was without highlights or Sun-In or something - just the sun.

Many children have their hair turn lighter when they're around 2 or 3 years of age. Most people will find that their hair was the lightest colour it ever was when they were around that age.
I had black hair as a baby, followed by light-brown/blonde when I was 2, and by the time I was 5 it was black again. And I've noticed it happens with most other children too, just as it appears to be with Suri.
She's a lovely-looking little girl. She looks just like Katie, apart from having Tom's eyes.

Suri is absolutely beautiful, a perfect mixture of both Tom and Katie- my favourite celebrity baby!
As for her hair, I think it's the sun- because my son has naturally dark hair like me but when we go abroad or are in a sun for a long period of time, his hair turns a lighter colour, a light brown colour, like Suri's.

Posted by: babyboopie at May 5, 2008 3:01:25 PM

It's not unusual for a child's hair color to change, and it's not always because of the sun. My fiance is a perfect example. When he was born, he had light blond hair but by the age of 2 or so, it got really dark... almost black! My hair also changed colors several times growing up. It happens.

Posted by: Ash at May 5, 2008 3:07:25 PM

I dont think they colored her hair, that would be absurd. My daughter was born with dark hair for two years of her life, her hair is a very light brown now naturally of course.

Suri is absolutely gorgeous! Her eyes are so expressive and beautiful! And I think its terrible people think Tom and Katie would color their 2 yr old's hair!!! I am not really a fan of Katie or Tom, but I give them a little credit!

Posted by: tink1217 at May 5, 2008 4:09:13 PM

In regards to the lightening of the hair, my daughter was born with jet black hair. Which would make sense because her dad is half Hispanic. Over the last three years though(she's 3), she has become a white blond. If her hair can change naturally, anything is possible. I don't think they colored her hair.

Posted by: Nichole at May 6, 2008 8:58:59 AM

dying her hair??? that's ridiculous... I don't know many -just turned two-year olds that would sit still and long enough for a hair dying session!

Posted by: Chaya at May 6, 2008 11:24:09 PM

i never comment, but i just had to. what is wrong with you people? they don't dye their child's hair, it's almost summer and the sun bleaches it! what a completely moronic assumption.

Suri is so adorable, just like her dad, Tom.
