Stephen Baldwin talks about the "importance of giving back"
Stephen Baldwin feels "blessed" to have been raised in a civic-minded household, and as he told OK!. the lessons he learned in his youth are now being put to good use.
The 42-year-old actor recently presented the presidential volunteer award at the League National Awards and Recognition Luncheon in New York City, where he appeared on behalf of the President's Council on Civic Participation and Volunteerism. Stephen said that despite his upbringing it was only after becoming a dad to daughters Alia, 14, and Hailey, 11, that he truly understood "the importance of giving back and supporting others." The girls, Stephen revealed, "are both diligent little students and focused on their ballet, which they enjoy very much." He added,
And they’re driving me a little crazy. It's teaching me a lot of patience, humility and love.
Alia and Hailey are Stephen's children with wife Kennya.
