Jack Black Not Sweating the Small Stuff with New Baby
It's nice to know that -- sometimes, at least -- men cry at commercials too. Jack Black, 38, says that there's one advertisement in particular that makes him "blub." "The father was trying to feed the baby and the baby calls him 'Momma,'" Jack recalls, "It's 'Dadda' that the dude wants to hear, and finally the baby calls him Dadda, and I became a little sniffy." Of course, his response could be due to the fact that the commercial mirrors his own experience with his 2-year-old son Samuel Jason, whom Jack says "didn't call me Dadda for a long time."
In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Jack revealed that his tears can occasionally turn to anger, however. "I'm often in a terrible mood, and I do throw tantrums," he said -- but nothing calms him down quite like new baby Thomas David, 8 ½-weeks. Fatherhood the second time around has been "far more relaxed." Adds Jack,
The first time out, we sweated every little detail. With this one, we are just going to leave him in the house alone!
Samuel and Thomas are Jack's children with wife, cellist Tanya Haden.
