Joel McHale has his hands full with oldest son Eddie
Sometimes, children express themselves in "creative" ways that adults, well, don't quite understand. E! Network funnyman and The Soup host Joel McHale is running into that dilemma with his oldest son, Edward "Eddie" Roy, 3 ½.
Joel said on last night's Late Night with Conan O'Brien that Eddie "lies on top of" his 4-month-old brother Isaac Hayden when he is sleeping, yelling "'I want to see his eyes,'" then prying his baby brother's eyes open.
Eddie has also taken a step backwards with his potty training since Isaac's birth, Joel, 36, joked to Conan. Instead of using the toilet, Eddie yells "I'm a dog!" and then "runs into the garden and poops." Laughed Joel, "If we go out in to public, do I have to bring a plastic bag?"
However, little Eddie appears to be inheriting his funny-bone from his dad. Joel recently appeared on the Today Show, and his wife Sarah watched with Eddie from the family's California home. When Sarah asked Eddie "Who's that?," he looked at the television and replied "That guy's going to take me to the park on Thursday." Says Joel, "My nickname is 'that guy,' which makes me look like the worst father in the world."
